I am in the process of evaluating BPM Suites as well. If you are looking for Open Source BPM Suites, then I believe that Intalio BPMS is a fairly decent option that you should consider. I have evaluated the Open source version of Intalio BPMS and found it to be quite satisfactory for at least Proof of Concept and Pilot BPM initiatives. For a full scale BPM initiative, you may need to consider their Enterprise versions, or other licensed BPM Suites. Good luck with your BPM initiatives.

Hello Bob,

I am really interested to know how successful has MOSS 07 (without the use of any other Licensed BPM products) been as a full-fledged BPM Suite? As I am not a MOSS 07 expert, I am not even sure if MOSS 07 by itself meets all the requirements of a BPM Suite. I would love to hear your comments on this.

Regards,

Fellow BPM Evaluator

I am working for a smaller, family-owned organization and even though we are still in the "trial" period with MOSS 2007, I have implemented very useful Intranet sites for our HR, IT, Manufacturing and other departments. I would like to implement BPM. The workflow ((three-state for example)) processes built into sharepoint does not have the functionality that I need. K2 and other companies mentioned above will more-than-likely accomodate all of the features I am seeking but at a cost of $10,000.00 + from my conversations with them.

If there are open-source or developer BPM applications that will mesh seamlessly into MOSS; which will provde the foundation on which to build ~ and ~ won't set the company back $10,000.00 +, I haven't found them. Are you aware of any? Also, which would you consider the best sites (aside from yours) for Sharepoint resources?

Thanks;

Dave
